For this season, Easton has improved upon their best USA bat model of last year. 2019 brings about the Beast line of youth bats that will come categorized by a few diverse sub divisions to better suit the young sluggers and their specific tendencies. The 2019 Easton Beast Speed will deliver all the same technological innovations as the Beast Pro but with a supremely balanced swing weight that comes in a lighter -10 drop for younger and more moderately sized youth hitters. This single piece fully aluminum construction utilizes Easton’s most durable alloy material even in the ATAC Advanced Thermal Alloy Construction. As with most Easton USA alloys this year, the Beast Speed will encompass the newly designed Speed End Cap and Lizard Skins Grip. These two features will deliver maximum comfort, enhanced confidence, and a deafening sound that will sound the alarm when a monster hit is coming.  In being a -10 drop, This USA Bat serves as a viable option for developing players requiring some technical adjustments to their swing. As the 2018 season progressed, the youth USA Baseball community seemed to take to the alloy barrel Easton Beast X more then the composite barrel Ghost X. Judging from the feedback we received from last year’s evaluation coupled with the reactions provided to us by families around the country, the Beast X generated a larger number of positive responses over it’s composite counterpart. The 2019 Easton Beast Speed comes as a single piece aluminum construction featuring the same effective ATAC alloy material composed within the barrel and comes equipped with an improved speed end cap for added flexibility and balance when swinging through the zone. The second edition of the Easton Beast USA bat -10 drop is geared to be even more efficient of an offensive tool than the first. After approximately 250+ swings of solid contact, the following is our review of the Easton Beast Speed.

Evaluating The Pop Of The 2019 Easton Beast Speed:

In terms of establishing solid and consistent pop, the Easton Beast Speed isn’t designed to tear the cover off the ball. Throughout the pop evaluation station, the power generated by the bat stemmed from the batter’s ability to attain a quick and level cut. As we continue to progress as a website for the USA baseball community and other affiliations, we start to understand where the pop comes from. The Easton engineers developed the 2019 Easton Beast Speed as a generator of bat velocity and balance, hence why all the powerful outfield raining shots came from larger volunteers with precision fundamentals.

Calculating The Vibration Control Of The 2019 Easton Beast Speed:

During our evaluation process, the general consensus among our volunteers was that the 2019 Easton Beast Speed is one of the easiest and fastest bats to weld of the new USA baseball bats that have come out this year. The Beast Speed accomplishes what it was design to execute. In addition to the high levels of balance and grip, the 3 Easton’s in our possession came in less than 1oz. heavier than the stamped weight on the barrel. One specific volunteer youth hitter stated the following in regards to the level of comfort and control he achieved with the Beast Speed -10 drop,

“The new Beast looks cool and is very easy to swing. It feels light and comfy. I can feel myself get a lot of extra speed when I swing”.

Measuring The Durability Of The Easton Beast Speed:

Like every USA bat we evaluate, the three 2019 Easton Beast Speed -10 drop youth bats took on quite a beating by receiving over 350 forms of contact from incoming baseballs through both high-speed pitching and low speed soft toss. One particular Beast Speed coming in a 30/20 cracked and was inefficient after 200+ solid hard-hit contact with the ball. The other ones incurred only minor cosmetic handling mars and scuffs while avoiding major structural damage like dings, dents or cracks.

Overall Experience Of The 2019 Easton Beast Speed:

The 2019 Easton Beast Speed USA bat was developed for bat speed and delivers on that promise. If your child plays in the older divisions of any USA Baseball sub division, our staff recommends utilizing the Easton Beast Speed Hybrid coming with a 2-piece connection technology syncing the composite handle and the ATAC aluminum alloy 2 5/8 barrel. This will be a more comfortable experience for sluggers playing in 11u and up. Players occupying the younger divisions such utilize Beast Speed one-piece construction for its impeccable and lightweight traditional feel.
